We're Cleverful, the wonderfully clever creators of original hand-developed websites, graphics and animations. We're the kind of people who always stay for the credits, read a book's preface and thoroughly check the warning labels. We know lots of acronyms (like XHTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL and MEL) but promise to not use them in conversations or text unless they're enclosed in parentheses or finger quotes (ok, no finger quotes). We're the people you see at parties helping the hosts with their computer or explaining why you should really be using Firefox. It's ok, don't feel bad for us. We like what we do and we like talking about it. We're Cleverful and we'd be glad to create a wonderfully clever design for you.

Being the geeks that we are we would love to tell you that our websites are developed in XHTML PHP, MySQL and JavaScript with Web 2.0, Standards Compliance and Cross Browser Compatibility in mind. We do, however, understand that you may or may not speak geek. With that in mind let us just say we can develop a wide range of websites, from a simple single page to a dynamic content driven web application. Graphic Design
Whether it’s fashion, furniture, print or web, Cleverful is all about appealing design. Unfortunately, we don’t officially provide fashion and furniture design services at this time but we can provide you with design for print services ranging from business cards to store front banners. We specialize in logo creation and original illustration which we would be happy to incorporate into a flyer, letterhead or brochure. With Cleverful graphic design you get purposeful designs placed neatly on almost any medium you can imagine.
Computer Animation
Animation is an art that is easy to imagine but difficult to do. Fortunately we are the kind of people who seek out difficult things. Cleverful animation has in house animators trained by some of the most impressive names in the feature film industry. We are well versed in all disciplines of animation from Flash banners to computer generated character animation. With Cleverful animation you get the “suspension of disbelief” created by artists who truly love and understand animation.
Flash Game Development
Flash games can be used for good or evil. At Cleverful we're not big on using Flash based games to entice users to click on annoying ads. Rather we like good spirited games that are fun to play while at the same time educate the user on your business, product or idea. Although we believe quality content should be the primary focus of your site's stickyness a fun and well written flash game can encourage users to stay a bit longer or come back when they are "on a break" at work.
Creative Arts Training
Cleverful offers private, semi-private and group training in 3D character animation, web design and video editing. We have a training facility located inside the MusicWorksplus building in historic Penryn, California.
Want to start the next Pixar or produce the next Veggie Tales? In our 3D animation training students will learn the principals of animation, how to record poses in 3d and how to render those poses out into a finished animation. Students will learn character animation using the award winning Autodesk Maya software application. This is the same program used by many of the major animation studios.
Want to do what we do? In the Cleverful web design training students will learn how the Internet works, how to use xhtml and css to write a web page and how to use Adobe’s Photoshop and other industry standard applications to create web graphics. In addition advanced students will learn the principals of programming applications for the Internet using PHP and JavaScript.
Want to learn non-linear video editing? Using industry standard applications like Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro this training is a great way to learn the basics of capturing, editing and outputting digital video on a home computer. Students will learn how to record video, transfer it to the computer, make good cuts, use dialogue and audio in ways that add to the video's appeal and how to use effects and transitions so they do not detract from the video. Ever wanted to make a short film or just produce an enjoyable DVD of archived family footage this is the training for you.
