Look no further than Cleverful’s newest creation, TiltGamer.com. We developed this iphone game review site using the WordPress blogging engine and a bit of our own themeing magic. The sites uses quite a few custom WordPress queries to display the game review list, top 20 games and the blog separately. In addition to our own custom php functions, we made extensive use of custom fields which hold the data for the reviews. Before you head over to the iPhone App Store check out Tiltgamer.com.

Got WordPress Questions?

Recently our lead developer, Aaron Robbins, launched his personal project WPQuestions.com. This site, which answers user submitted WordPress questions, has been live for about 2 weeks now. Aaron, says the site is doing well and he is having a lot of fun answering WordPress questions both on the site and at the WordPress support forums. So far there are about 12 questions answered ranging in difficulty from beginner to advanced and Aaron promises many more are on the way. Cleverful was recently featured on a few different design sites, mainly CSSElite.com. Since then we have been receiving roughly four requests an hour for custom design work, php coding, exclusive contracts and wordpress help. It’s been really cool to talk with designers in other countries and hear about all the projects they are working on. We just wanted to say a quick Thanks! to everyone that stopped by or sent us an email. We are really hoping to establish some great new working relationships.

The new Cleverful web site was just featured on a CSS Design gallery site called CSSElite.com. This is our second web site to make CSS Elite’s gallery. We are are very excited to be associated with a web site touting the “best of the best” web site designs and have enjoyed the increase in site traffic and emails.

WordPress 2.5 Duplicate Post Bug

Today I found a bug in the WordPress 2.5 publishing process. Adding a custom field to a post before saving the post will cause WordPress to create a duplicate entry for each custom field added. A quick search on Google revealed other WordPress users experiencing the same issue. For the time being the only fix is to use the “save” button on your post before adding any custom fields.

Avenue Selects Cleverful For Site Consulting

Avenue, a non-profit, interdenominational organization, saw the need for a total web presence relaunch and contacted Cleverful for help with executing their vision. Cleverful Gets A New Site Design

When Nina and I first launched the little Northern California web design studio that is Cleverful, it seemed like our site design changed on a weekly basis. Back then we had plenty of time to tweak the way it looked, experiment with new designs and update the news area. Then something happened. We got clients. Lot of clients. Time spent updating the Cleverful site came to a immediate halt as client web sites took center stage. This created a small problem. The more client projects we finished the more out of date our web site became. Clearly we had to do something. A few weeks ago we made the decision to put some serious time and effort into updating the web site while simultaneously converting the it to WordPress. I tossed around a couple of mockup ideas until ultimately coming up with what you see here. We wanted a design that reflected the small nature of our studio while capturing both Nina and I’s personality. It was a fun theme to create and both Nina and I hope enjoy the new Cleverful design.
