Today I found a bug in the WordPress 2.5 publishing process. Adding a custom field to a post before saving the post will cause WordPress to create a duplicate entry for each custom field added. A quick search on Google revealed other WordPress users experiencing the same issue. For the time being the only fix is to use the “save” button on your post before adding any custom fields.
